Adult Education & Small Groups

Why?

Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations, “baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” (Matthew 18:10-20)  If we have been give a great treasure beyond imagination then how can we not share it?

What?

AdultEdWe at St. Thomas have a vision to be a church where anyone can find a small groups to welcome them and where they can fit.  These groups may vary in focus but each is very intentional and committed to provide opportunities for relationship, discipleship, and evangelism.  Our mission:  To promote healthy relationships through small groups which empower people for ministry in Jesus Christ.

Four factors we recognize about small groups are:

People want to be in a group with other people they enjoy being around.
People want to focus on things in which they have an interest.
People want a way to leave a group without hurting the feelings of the others in the group.
People don’t want their group to be arbitrarily split if it is too successful.

Our small groups have starting and stopping times.  Click “What’s of interest for adults?” for a listing of current groups.
